Oktoberfest in Historic Stanardsville, Virginia is a fall festival for adults to enjoy amazing beer, great food, and lively music. Featuring a highly competitive homebrewers contest and offering a selection of beer from some of the commonwealth's best breweries, there is certain to be something for everyone to enjoy. Local food vendors, costume contest, games, attractions, amusements and more await. Test your skill at axe throwing, challenge the beer puppeteer, take a spin on the gyroscope or simply bring your chairs or blankets and settle in for a fun date night and unwind.
Beer tapping ceremony begins its processional at 4 PM. We recommend that guests arrive early if they wish to sample the homebrewer contest entries and vote on the winner of the contest.
Costume contest begins at 7 PM. To register for the costume contest, leave your name at the information desk and be near the stage ready to strut your stuff when the contest begins. Whether you choose to dress in traditional Bavarian tracht, middle ages attire, steampunk finery or something else entirely, just have fun and work the crowd as their applause decides the winners.
Admission is $25 per person with valid photo ID at the gate. Cash, Check, Credit & Debit Cards Accepted. Beer tickets are required to exchange for professional pours. Beer tickets may be purchased from either of the event information tents located at the opposite ends of the pavilion. Each ticket is $5 and a ticket buys a professional pour in the beer garden. This is a charity fundraiser. Tips and donations are appreciated. Proceeds go to support the Red, White, Blue ‘n Greene. Homebrewer tastings (one tasting per contest entry) are complementary with paid admission while supplies last. No substitute product shall be offered nor shall refunds in whole or in part be given when the tastings run out.
