Quality-crafted period furniture built with the same techniques that have been passed down for generations. Each piece is reproduced in cherry, walnut, mahogany, or maple. Located on US 621 (South River Road) in Stanardsville. We make quality-crafted period furniture using the same techniques that have been passed down for generations. Each Queen Anne, Chippendale, and Hepplewhite piece is reproduced in cherry, walnut, mahogany, or maple. Backs and drawers are constructed from poplar or pine, and drawers are hand dove-tailed with chamfered bottoms. All of our furniture backs are fastened using the same kinds of cut nails used in the 18th century, case fronts are set with antique glass and trimmed with the finest reproduction brass fittings. Stains are hand-mixed, and finishes are hand rubbed between coats, bringing to each piece the satiny patina found in the antique originals. Since each piece is custom made to your specifications, NO CATALOG IS AVAILABLE. However, feel free to send, fax, or email your picture for a quote. We can email you a picture of a particular piece if you don’t see it on our site. We welcome the opportunity to create a quality piece of furniture that will be treasured by you and your family for generations to come.
