Established in 1840, The Lafayette Inn and Restaurant is a testament to the area's rich history. This iconic establishment has welcomed guests for generations, offering a unique blend of traditional charm and hospitality. Imagine- spending the night in the same building that once served as a hospital during the Civil War. Its enduring presence makes it a notable and cherished landmark in the community.

The Lafayette Inn has been voted into the Hall of Fame with Trip Advisor based on consumer reviews over the past 20 years.

Dinner service available for room guests daily between 5pm-7pm (Requires confirmed advanced reservations- rare but some blackout dates occur).

The restaurants prime focus is providing dinner service and breakfast for its overnight guests along with a key focus for special events such as rehearsal dinners, corporate and special events and our acclaimed “Cause Nights” providing funds back to our local NPO’s.

The Lafayette has been awarded the Virginia Restaurant of the Year award by the Virginia Wine and Food Society, Wine Enthusiast Magazine Award of Distinction, Open Table Diners' Choice Award as well as Hall of Fame members of the “Best of the Blue Ridge”.

Grab n Go bags can be ordered in lieu of hot breakfast in advance for guests desiring to start their hikes early! (Delivered to the guest the night before).
Dinner for Inn Guests- 5pm-7pm Daily.
