An exciting week of MX MotoCross, Demolition Derby, Rock Crawling Demonstrations, Sand Drag Racing, Truck and Tractor Pulls, Barrel Racing, Mutton Busting and Bull Riding -- And all in support of Breast Cancer Awareness! All this is accompanied by a unique Carnival Midway. Started in 2009 by Mike Payne and Chip Morris, MAPFEST offers a week filled with family-friendly fun. MAPFEST provides five nights of various motorsports events in the grandstand area, as well as a carnival. Admission to the carnival grounds is free and unlimited ride bracelets are available for purchase. In addition to the carnival and grandstand events, MAPFEST aims to highlight breast cancer awareness throughout the week. Mike’s wife, Amy, lost her battle to breast cancer in 2007. You’ll see large, pink ribbons at various points on the MAPFEST grounds. The Greene County Relay for Life is present and offers t-shirts and other items for sale throughout the week. Proceeds gained through these sales and donations go to the Greene County Relay for Life. We hope that this effort highlights the importance of breast cancer screenings and continued efforts to find a cure.
